The Star of the North Games are held annually and patterned after the winter and summer Olympic games. Designed to encourage the participation of athletes representing a broad range of age groups, skill levels, Minnesota communities, and people with physical disabilities and visual and hearing impairments, regional competitions are held to determine the top qualifiers for the state games. A wide variety of individual/team and indoor/outdoor sports are involved.
